NEW! Cheat Sheet for Dazzle
In running Peregrine Salon, I often have to train people with no experience in virtual worlds on how to use the Second Life interface. This is not easy feat, as the user interface is out dated, not well organized, and there is a lot to digest in 3-D worlds: how to move, how to interact with objects, how to interact with people, how to find locations, how to make permanent connections, and that is without even getting into building. I’ve done everything from teaching one-on-one sessions with people, to seminars at the University of Pennsylvania, and from the notes I’ve compiled and questions I’ve received, I’ve put together a basic interface cheat sheet which should help people feel more comfortable navigating the user interface and what the various menus and dialogs can be used for. There are links to download a high quality (for printing) and lower quality (for emailing) PDF files below the image. I hope this helps!
